These Democratic legislators took contributions from Jackson Lewis in 2020

Jackson Lewis is one of the most notorious union-busting law firms in the United States. They boast “more than 950 attorneys throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico” and “the resources to address every aspect of the employer-employee relationship.”

Jackson Lewis has been brought in to bust the Law360 union, highered unions, and has even been hired by Google and Amazon to silence their workforces.

Jackson Lewis works with some of the nation’s largest corporations, charging hundreds of dollars per hour to offer their expertise in “union avoidance.” It’s a booming, multi-billion dollar industry – and firms like Jackson Lewis and Labor Relations Institute Inc. are at the forefront of it.

If that isn’t enough to disgust you, Jackson Lewis also puts on “war game” trainings all over the country to help management and supervisors deny workers their right to a union.

Given Jackson Lewis’ anti-worker line of business, it’s shocking to learn just how many elected Democrats took money from them in 2020. Now, let us be clear, just because these politicians took union-busting money doesn’t mean they don’t necessarily stand with workers. However, the fact that so many Democrats are willing to take this dirty money illustrates the union-busting industry’s access to the halls of power.
